Staff SMS Consent Script.
The words the firm says to a new employee before adding their number to the internal text assistant.
This page is published so that anyone reviewing the firm’s text messaging program — including mobile carriers and messaging compliance reviewers — can read the exact language the firm uses to obtain consent from its own employees. It is a companion to the text messaging section of our Terms of Use.
What this program is.
Trusler Legal PLLC operates an internal text messaging program for its own employees. Firm staff text an internal assistant application, running on a firm-owned server, to request administrative tasks. The assistant texts back the result or an explicit failure.
The only recipients are employees of the firm. No clients, consumers, or members of the public receive messages from this program, and it carries no marketing, promotional, or advertising content.
How an employee opts in.
Consent is given verbally during employee onboarding. The firm gives the new employee the internal assistant’s phone number and reads the following script aloud. The employee’s mobile number is added to the staff allowlist only after they agree.
“Trusler Legal operates an internal text assistant at this number for firm administrative work. If you want to use it, we will add your mobile number so the assistant can reply to you. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, with no effect on your employment.”
The staff allowlist is held on a firm-owned server. A message sent to the assistant from any number that is not on that allowlist receives no reply and triggers no action; it is logged and discarded. There is no web form, no purchased list, and no other way to join this program.
How an employee opts out.
Reply STOP to any message from the assistant. The number is removed from the allowlist and the assistant sends nothing further. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact the firm at (512) 481-0330 or hello@betterdivorceaustin.com. Opting out has no effect on a person’s employment, and no effect on their ability to reach the firm by phone or email.
Message frequency varies with firm activity. There is no recurring schedule and no minimum number of messages. Message and data rates may apply; the firm does not charge employees for text messages, but their mobile carrier may. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile numbers and messaging consent collected for this program are handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and are not sold, rented, leased, or shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, or lead-generation purposes.
